Australia's premier charity cycling event, Tour de Freedom will be headed to North Queensland.

The ride has been bought forward from October to August to take advantage of the cooler weather of Queensland's tropical climate.

The 2010 edition of the Tour includes 4 days of the best riding Queensland has to offer encompassing the beautiful coastal regions of Mission Beach, Cairns and Port Douglas but includes excersions up onto the Atherton Tablelands. The Tour will provide challenges for experienced cyclists who enjoy a vigorous ride with other enthusiasts. Each year Tour organisers ensure that there is an opportunity for less experienced cyclists to complete each stage at a more recreational pace.

Thank you very much for publicising the tour de Freedom ride which took place in October. The ride was fabulous, the organisation great, and the basis of the ride gave me one of the most fulfilling weeks in my life. Eight young people currently benefiting from the ride’s charity (Teen Challenge) rode with us.
